You feel the difference the moment you grab the bar. The new rubber EVA grip is a lot more comfortable and keeps its grip, even when your hands are wet or cold. On top of that, this grip stands up better to wear and holds its colour far longer. The tactile offset grip makes sure the Navigator Pro Gen2 always sits perfectly in your hands. Inside the bar stick sits a new fibre-reinforced polymer truss that makes the bar stronger and lighter at the same time, so it not only feels better but also spins back more easily after a rotation.

North guarantees safety with the Connect V2 quick release. You reload this single-action release with a simple click, and thanks to the stiff security finger and the small loop the chance of releasing or unhooking by accident is minimal. The entire system is ISO-21853 certified. The Toolless Modular InterLoop system lets you swap between the Freeride loop (included), the Freestyle loop or the Surf Slider without any tools.

The line set consists of SK99 Dyneema Pro lines with 1.55mm grey front lines and 1.3mm blue steering lines. Little stretch, little drag and therefore direct feedback from your kite. The different diameters also make your lines shrink more evenly. The Navigator Pro Gen 2 bar comes standard with a 12+10 line configuration. The stainless steel centrepiece with titanium coating runs smoothly, so the front lines keep untwisting themselves and you can carry on steering with one hand. You adjust the bar width by 5cm by rotating the cassettes at the ends 180 degrees, letting you set the steering speed of your kite yourself. The North Navigator Pro Gen2 comes in three sizes, with the 45-55 being the most popular choice. If you ride a big kite, larger than 13 metres, you can go for the 50-55, while freestylers sometimes prefer the small version.
