Prolimit uses the Fluid Taping Method here: the panels are triple glued with water-based Aqua Alpha glue, then blind stitched so the needle only goes halfway through the neoprene, and finally sealed on the outside with a wide carbon neoprene tape. The result is a seam that keeps water out while holding on to its stretch, even after a few hundred sessions. That water-based glue is also solvent free, so no chemical smell in your car on the way home.
The warmth comes from the four-layer build. A protective outer layer of Neolight heather 550+ with Quad Flex, stretchy NaturePrene2 underneath for insulation, then the Thermal Rebound2 layer that reflects your body heat and blocks windchill, and finally the Zodiac2 plush fleece against your skin. That fleece absorbs moisture, releases it again quickly and makes getting the suit on a lot more pleasant.
The rest of the details are exactly what you expect from a top model. KED knee panels that are tough and still bend with you, YKK zippers that keep running smoothly, drainholes at the bottom of the legs and ankle straps to stop the suit riding up. The NaturePrene2 is made with natural rubber from FSC certified plantations, topped up with recycled carbon black and oyster shell powder.
