The classic plus extras from Prolimit
The double frontzip has been the most chosen closure on a kite wetsuit for years, and there is a reason for that. The Prolimit Predator 5/4 Double Frontzip 2027 Wetsuit combines that familiar entry with 5/4mm NaturePrene2, which keeps you warm when the water turns ice cold. The zip sits across your chest, so your back is one continuous piece of neoprene: less chance of flushing and more flex when you are hanging in your harness. Prolimit deliberately keeps the system simple, because a closure you operate with cold hands just has to work.
New for 2027 are the chest and back panels. Compared to last year's 5/4 that is the change that counts, and it sits exactly in the zones where the wind hits hardest the moment you step out of the water.
The NaturePrene2 Oystershell is completely neoprene free and consists of 80 percent natural rubber from FSC certified plantations, topped up with recycled carbon black, oyster shell powder and soybean oil. Sounds like a chemistry lesson, but what you feel is simple: a material that stretches far and holds its shape.
On the outside there is Down Airflex, water repellent and quick drying so the windchill stays limited. Inside you get Zodiac 2 with Velvet Airflex, a velvet fleece with a quick drying thermal layer that pulls the moisture off your skin. The GBS seams are triple glued and blind stitched with water based glue, and every thread is covered with tape. On top of that you get KED knee panels, drainage holes and ankle straps.
If you want the same warmth but prefer a zip on your back, the 5/4 Backzip is your wetsuit. For the most sporty entry, look at the 5/4 Free-X or the new C-Zip. Sticking with the proven option? Then the Prolimit Predator 5/4 Double Frontzip 2027 Wetsuit is your regular partner for the cold season.
